API Products

Our API Products are a suite of experiential ad products. The vision for them was to increase the offerings that our creative agency provided to advertisers by designing re-sellable experiences with music integrations. These products consisted of the following: Collaborative Playlist, Music Analyzer, Playlist Enhancer, Playlist Selector, Playlist Generator, and Quizlist.

Collaborative Playlist

The Collaborative Playlist is a product where users can submit songs to a branded playlist. Brands must follow strict rules when it comes to using music, so we had to make sure that the product met those requirements and that the brand had as much control as needed to manage their brand identity.

 
 
 
 

Playlist Moderation Tool

The Collaborative Playlist is a product where users can submit songs to a branded playlist. Brands must follow strict rules when it comes to using music, so we had to make sure that the product met those requirements and that the brand had as much control as needed to manage their brand identity.


Playlist Selector

 

This product allows brands to create a content hub of branded playlists with easy set up of the content and a ready to go user flow and responsive design.

Playlist Enhancer

In this product, users connect with their music streaming service in order to select a playlist that gets enhanced by the brand. The brand selects the method of how they want to enhance the playlist using our toolset. They can use logic such as replacing a certain ratio of the user submitted playlist with similar songs or a curated bucket playlist.

API Products is what we called the suite of experiential ad products that could utilize partner APIs such as Spotify, Deezer, and Anghami. Our products provided the userflow, logic, and tools to manage the different requirements of each product. They could be built as rigid templates through a CMS, as flexible templates on Adstudio using our design editor, or completely custom using our own API.


Process

These API Products were built to work in tandem with partner APIs such as Spotify, Deezer, and Anghami. I worked with the product team to standardize each product by redesigning the user flows, wireframes, and logic. I prepared low fidelity wireframes in Omnigraffle and high fidelity wireframes in Sketch, as well as the redlines for development.

The most important addition to these API Products was the introduction of certain toolsets, like the Playlist Moderation Tool to the Collaborative Playlist. This move put more control in advertiser hands. I worked with other members on the team to outline the logic and then performed QA to make sure it was implemented as expected.
